Common Questions

How do I enroll?

Start by submitting our preliminary online application. Then visit HTG in person to complete enrollment, review required documents, and pay your enrollment deposit. The online application begins the process but does not reserve a seat.

What are the admission requirements?

All students must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma or GED is required for all programs except Certified Nurse Assistant and CPR. Certified Nurse Assistant students and students completing clinical training must also complete a background check and TB test.

How much is the enrollment deposit?

The enrollment deposit is $450 for most programs and $525 for Medical Assistant. Deposits are credited toward your total tuition. Medical Terminology ($625) has no separate deposit: you may pay in full, or pay half ($312.50) at enrollment and the remaining half within 30 days.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Weekly and biweekly payment plans are available for eligible programs and include a 12% payment-plan fee. Payment plans are not available for Medical Terminology. See our Tuition and Payment Options page for each program's payment schedule.

Do you accept financial aid?

Health Tech of Georgia does not accept financial aid at this time. Students may pay in full or choose one of our payment plans.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, Zelle, and Chime. Contact our Admissions team for payment instructions.

Are certification exam fees included in tuition?

No. Certification exam fees are not included in tuition and are paid separately.

Do you offer day and evening classes?

Yes. Many programs offer both day and evening classes, and some are offered in the evening only. See Upcoming Class Start Dates for each program's schedule.

How long are the programs?

Most programs run 11 to 14 weeks. The Medical Assistant program is completed in stages: four prerequisite courses, followed by an 18-week Back Office course.

Will I be prepared for a certification exam?

Certified Nurse Assistant graduates are prepared to sit for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) exam, Georgia's CNA competency exam. Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy graduates are prepared for national certification exams offered by registries such as American Medical Technologists (AMT) and the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). ECG/EKG Monitor Technician and Medical Billing and Coding graduates are prepared for national certification exams offered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Do you help with job placement?

Yes. HTG assists students with job placement, although employment is not guaranteed.

Is Medical Billing and Coding available?

Medical Billing and Coding is currently waitlist only. Joining the waitlist is free, and we will contact you if classes become available.

How do I sign up for CPR?

CPR training is scheduled directly with our CPR instructor. Call for details. The fee is $65, and students earn American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification upon successful completion.
